Fraud - postal system!

I want to warn readers about postal fraud, having just noticed the headline on cyber crime. I was recently the victim of having a bill intercepted in the mail, and the bank account number to receive the money falsified on a fake bill which was reinserted into the original envelope. Everything looked very official - I made the transfer to the wrong account. I was lucky. The receiving bank warned the sending bank and the transfer was blocked. Others, in the same case were not as lucky and have lost their money. My bank manager stressed that all bank account numbers must be checked before making a transfer. No one is insured against this sort of fraud, neither the agencies nor the banks. So everyone be warned ... Personally, I have learned my lesson!
