Flute Talks Quartet
Flute Talks Quartet ( FTQ) wa created by Javier Mateos in 2016. The project is a part of its work presented at his end of studies examination at the Royal Academy of Brussels in June, 2017. In the project, the flute is accentuated through compositions and complete arrangements mixing jazz, rock fusion and flamenco. Having realized an arrangement on a suite of Händel, Javier begins to be interested in " third stream " and in the mix of the "cult" musics (classic, baroque, romantic) with the "light" music. The group explores the harmonic and melodic possibilities of these musics to bring them back in the mood with a touch of personality and character.
