FBI to help Belgium with terror investigation, says White House

22:04 31/03/2016

Following last week's terror attacks in Brussels, the United States has sent FBI teams to assist the Belgian authorities in the investigation into the attacks on 22 March, according to an announcement made today from the White House. Belgian and American officials are discussing the collaboration this week.

"Belgium has accepted our assistance," said Ben Rhodes, security adviser to the White House, in a statement. "We have FBI teams on the ground assisting with the investigation. We are sharing information and intelligence with Belgium as it relates to terrorist threats."

US attorney general Loretta Lynch met with Belgium's interior minister Jan Jambon during the Nuclear Security Summit this week in Washington.

I think the FBI will find it a challenge to muck things up even more than they already are.
