Easter

Question

I am looking for Easter activites for children. I have looked on the visitbrussels website and didn't see anything. I heard that there was a egg hunt in the Grand Place a few years back. ANyone know if this still goes on? Also, is visiting the Easter Bunny a tradition here? I am just surprised that I havent seen much easter stuff in the stores except for chocolate eggs. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

try googling "easter egg hunt brussels" and you'll see a link to several of them.

There'll be egg hunt in several communes. You'll find some details here: http://www.brusselslife.be/fr/article/la-chasse-aux-oeufs

Many communes also organise their own egg hunt separate from the above mentioned. The smaller events are often nicer than the grand ones, especially with young kids (less crowded). Try looking info from the web sites of different communes. Be aware that often there is an age limit for participation.

In Belgium the Easter eggs are bought by a bell, not a bunny. You are still likely to see a bunny or two in the egg hunts. For Easter decoration try Casa (www.casa.be) or Hema (www.hema.be).
