Dromedary spotted in Brussels pedestrian zone

Visitors to the centre of Brussels on Monday were treated to a rare sight: a dromedary. The one-humped camel was featured in the music video for a new song by Niger band Kel Assouf, writes Brusselnieuws.

The singer of the group, Anana Harouna, chose to shoot the music video in the centre of Brussels while riding around on the dromedary. Kel Assouf is set to release its second album in March, a combination of Tuareg blues and rock.

Harouna, himself part of the Tuareg nomadic community, was forced to leave Niger due to political turmoil, and arrived in Belgium in 2005. The group's new album is an ode to Tuareg culture and a call for peace.
