Di Rupo advocates four-day working week

22:19 21/08/2017

In his new book, Nouvelles conquêtes, Belgium's Socialist Party (PS) chairman and former prime minister Elio Di Rupo presents a number of “red” ideas which he hopes will give new impetus to his party.

One of the most controversial proposals made in the book is the four-day working week, which Di Rupo believes will fight unemployment. According to him, a lot of working people struggle to keep up with everything, while many others remain unemployed. The four-day working week is the solution to both problems, Di Rupo says.
