Dari/Pashto/Farsi speaker looking for a job
Dear all,
I am a Dari/Pashto/Farsi speaker who is looking for a translation job in Brussels or Belgium. I speak English and French and I know the authorities are dealing with many Afghan/Iranian refugees and I was wondering if they need any help with translations but I don't know where to look for these jobs exactly. Any help?
Thanks,
I'm pretty sure that if you offer to volunteer for something like http://www.servethecity.be/brussels/, they will put your skills to good use.
Don't dismiss volunteering because it's unpaid - that's where you'll get contacts for paid work.
Ask your local police station if they require your services.
Hello there, Hope you have found an interesting job till now. But if not, I recommend to contact FEDASIL(http://fedasil.be/en), MSF((www.msf.org), Croix Rouge(http://www.croix-rouge.be/), Médicins Du Monde (https://www.medecinsdumonde.be/)
I am also Farsi speaker and worked as translator with refugees in February through MSF. Let me know if you have any other question. Will be happy to help.
Good luck!
Salaam,
I hope you've found a rewarding translation job! I hope you won't mind my contacting you here - I'm actually writing because I am learning Dari and have been searching for Afghan Farsi speakers here in Brussels to practice with... If you yourself have any time, or if you know of anyone who would be interested in a language exchange (I am a native English speaker), that would be a very big help. Many thanks, and best of luck to you!
Hello Lindseym,
If you still need someone to practice your Dari with you can contact. I'm also looking for someone to to practice English with.
