CyCLO repaired more than 16,000 Brussels bikes in 2015

CyCLO, the social economy enterprise for the promotion of cycling in Brussels, last year repaired 16,195 bicycles, about 1,000 more than in 2014, writes Brusselnieuws. CyCLO has eight bike service centres located across the capital.

The service centres provide work for 52 employees. In addition to the 16,195 bikes repaired last year, CyCLO also sold 526 used bikes and rented out their fleet of 174 bicycles for a total of 3,823 days. CyCLO also registered 232 new subscriptions to its secure bike parking lots.

Besides repairing, renting and selling bicycles, CyCLO also offers workshops and training. In 2015, CyCLO gave 133 mobile workshops to 159 customers interested in learning how to fix up their own bikes.

CyCLO also offers job training in bicycle repair and maintenance, for which 28 people signed up in 2015.
