If it’s family fun you are in search of, look no further than the Halloween Festival at the Museum of Fantastic Art and Witches’ Walk at Maison Pelgrims in Saint-Gilles. As well as creepy treats and a scavenger hunt on Thursday evening, there’s a Witches’ Walk through the neighbourhood with kids (and their parents) in costume, followed by a party for young and old. Museum admission is €6, Witches’ Walk is free.

Combine spooky with sport by having a dip in a pool of blood at Heysel swimming pool Océade until November 3. Natural colouring agents are used to transform the 1,680,000 litres of water into a blood bath!

There are still plenty of opportunities for adults to join in the fun. Don your scariest costume for parties at La Tentation (Halloween Follies), La Nuit des Mauvaises in Rue des Grands Carmes and Hard Rock Café (DJ Party), on Thursday evening; Club Avenue (Pimp your Party) and Club New Wave at La Bodega and The Old Oak pub in Schuman is offering a free drink to everyone in a Halloween costume on Friday evening.

There will another book signing of the English version of Philippe Geluck’s The Bible according to The Cat Le Méridien Hotel on November 13, following the launch at Waterstone's on October 30. The Belgian cartoonists, famous for his prodigious Cat series of comic albums, has finally produced an English-language version of his latest tome, which according to the press release is ‘God’s hilarious story – in his own words’. Geluck recently ended his 30-year cartoon series in francophone daily Le Soir, simultaneously publishing the book Peut-on rire de tout? (Can one laugh about everything?) and this latest album parodying religion. The resulting polemic on the limits of comedy, continue to rage.
