creating a non-profit

Question

Hello

I have been exploring the options of starting up a small non-profit - it's not going to be a start-up as it's not tech, but human rights advocacy related. It seems that to create as asbl you need a minimum of 3 people on board. Is anyone aware of any scheme/pathway where you can be a one man show to start with? I dont have 2 other people ready to quit jobs and jump in, but that shouldnt stop one form trying to do something useful. Any pointers please?

Rico

You need 3 board members, not 3 employees. The board members need to meet at certain intervals, and agree on the minutes, budget, etc. It's not such a big commitment that anyone would have to leave their job.

Very interesting, Rico - that does make a difference. Thanks for the info - I will explore it further.
