Collecting bonus miles / Loyalty programs

Question

Hi there, international family!

I'm curious if there's a way to collect miles or participate in various loyalty programs from brands to get the points that can be used to purchase airline tickets.
Apart from Brussels airlines loops, and myRyanair (not sure it's still valid, the link on the website is not working..)

I know there are options in some countries and with some credit cards to get bonus miles with online shopping, for example.
Does any bank in Belgium offer such things?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Ana.

American Express https://tree.americanexpress.be/

I have a "Brussels Airlines Preferred"

I would say that although it's nice to have the miles, the scheme is not terribly generous. You need major expenditure to acquire miles of any value. Using miles to buy short haul flights is basically a waste of money when you compare against what you can buy on-line anyway. I've tended to save for years before blowing them all on one long distance flight.

I use the card for business travel and expenses. If I was just collecting miles from my general household spending, I wouldn't bother as I doubt I could collect to any reasonable value and the annual fee is relatively high.

Have a look at Beobank, they do a range of cards offering miles (or cashback).

You don't need to bank with them to get a credit card from them.
