Cocktail Bar
New to Bxl, and my girlfriend is visting from London for the first time for a week this Easter. I've got various dinner reservation arranged, but is there anywhere to go for great cocktails / pre dinner drinks? For example, is there a bar in one of the hotels with a great view of the city, or a decent bar that doesn't have a TV blaring away in the corner with football on, or somewhere quiet where you can buy a glass of champagne and sit in a pleasant environment for an hour or so? Ideally city center / walking distance from either Pl Louise or Schumann areas. (More suggestions the better!)
I love the Wxyz bar at the Aloft Brussels Schuman hotel. No view, so that would not fit your requirements, but a fabulous coctail list, and really nicely decorated (definitely not your typical hotel bar). The place is big and has lots of different seating areas so you are sure to find a comfortable spot.
For a more traditional hotel bar experience, the Louie at the Conrad hotel is lovely.
