Car rental

Depends on what you mean by not very expensive. I haven't found anything like rent-a-wreck here, but a car for the weekend isn't too bad (depending on how you define bad, of course). The best deals by far are at the non-airport, non-train station locations: Avis in Ixelles, Europcar in Ixelles or Forest, Hertz in Zaventem just inside the ring, Budget in Evere just on the line with Sint-Stevens Woluwe, etc. You can save over half compared to renting at the airport (€80 vs €175 for a random weekend).

If you're not going far and you're a member, Cambio has decent rates on daily rentals (20-odd euros a day), but they charge a per km fee on top of that so for long trips, a "real" rental car with unlimited km is better.
