Brussels taxis introduce new app

Brussels’ largest taxi company Taxi Verts has launched a new app, eCab, for smartphones and tablets. Taxis Verts is launching the app shortly after the commotion around the ban on Uber, a private rideshare app, in the capital.

“The timing is a coincidence,” says Michel Pêtre Taxi Verts. "We live in the 21st century, so it is only natural that we also use modern technology to offer our services."

Users of eCab can see on a map where the nearest taxi is and order right away, or book a taxi for a later time. Payment can also be done digitally.
