Brussels' tallest residential tower officially open

09:42 03/06/2014

Brussels’ new Up-site tower opened yesterday in the city's up-and-coming port district. The 140m-high skyscraper along the canal is located across from major event venue Tour & Taxis and has 251 apartments on 41 floors.

During the month of June, the owner of the penthouse on the 41st floor opened his apartment to companies that want to invite special guests. On opening night, a number of journalists were invited to admire the view of Brussels and surroundings.

Up-site is a project of listed real estate developer Atenor. In addition to the residential tower there are 30,000 square metres of office space, already fully occupied. “Apartment sales are booming,” says William Lerinckx of Atenor. “About 70% of the tower is already sold, half to investors and half to residents.”

The price of an apartment at Up-site starts from around €180,000. The first residents are expected to move in soon.
