Brussels parks and forests closed due to strong wind forecast

09:48 06/06/2017

Parks and forests across the Brussels-Capital region are closed to the public since Tuesday afternoon, reports Bruzz. The temporary closure is a preventive safety measure, as weather forecasts predict wind speeds of up to 80km an hour, according to a press release from the agency Brussels Environment.

Brussels Environment advises people to avoid areas in and around the region's parks and forests on Tuesday. From 12.00, the parks and forests, including the Sonian Forest, will close until Wednesday, when they will reopen after an inspection and clearance of any damage.
