Brussels leads the country in gay marriage

09:58 24/04/2014

In 2013, Brussels counted 106 same-sex marriages, more than any other city in Belgium, according to figures from the FPS Economy. Antwerp follows in second place with just over 90 couples.

The majority of gay marriages in Brussels last year were between two men; only 42 lesbian couples tied the knot there last year, compared to 104 in Antwerp, 81 in East Flanders and 52 in West Flanders and Flemish Brabant combined.
