11:55 02/10/2012

Brussels Airport triumphed as overall winner at the World Routes Awards, which were announced last night at the Abu Dhabi Networking Evening at the Yas Marina Formula 1 Circuit, writes the Rock Hill Herald. “This is a wonderful recognition of the achievement of our aviation marketing team over the past year. To be recognised for our efforts by industry peers is even more rewarding,” said Arnaud Feist, the airport’s CEO. I don’t think we can go any higher than achieving this reward.” Brussels was also named winner in the European region. The awards are unique in the industry as they are voted for exclusively by the airline network planning community. The prestige of these awards, which recognise excellence in air service development by airports, is largely due to this method of voting.
