Bringing parents to Belgium permanently

Question

I have a Belgium citizenship.

My parents (aged 81 and 79) are Indians and they are living in India.
I would like to bring them here permanently as dependents.

I understand that according to the belgium law only wife and children are considered as dependents.
Does anyone of you know if it is feasible to bring the parents ?

Can anyone of you please give me the reference of such a person who have brought like that ?
If so, how long does it take to process the application ?
Also, do I need a lawyer for doing this ?

Can I bring my parents to Belgium in a Family Visit visa (3 months) and process the dependent during that time ?
(Am I legally allowed to do like that)

Thanks and Kind Regards
Ganesh

I

Do NOT bring them on a tourist visa when intentions are to stay, that looks so bad and will work against any application to extend. Immigration officials are used to this action and are not stupid.
.
I have no idea if elderly relatives can come here as dependents. In other countries it is allowed ONLY if you can prove there is absolutely no-one to look after them in their country of residence. Try doing some research using google or similar. Or try contacting the Immigration Ministry directly as only they can tell you the most correct and up to date information, not someone on a forum.
