Belgian governments work together on image campaign

16:05 25/05/2016

The federal government, in close collaboration with the regional governments, is working on the creation of a joint marketing campaign aimed at polishing up Belgium's image abroad. The total cost of the campaign is estimated at €4 million, writes Bruzz.

The consultation on Wednesday came to a close after just one hour, according to the cabinet of prime minister Charles Michel (pictured). All governments are aware of the need to clean up the country's image in the wake of the March terror attacks.

An invitation to tender is being written up for marketing and communications agencies from Belgium and abroad to not only come up with slogans and content, but also with an overall communication strategy.

The joint campaign, provisionally titled 'Positive Belgium', is scheduled to launch in early autumn.

Imo it's better to work on changing the way things are run in this country instead of spending time and money on a campaign to cover up Belgian reality and create a fantasy image. No one is going to be fooled, especially once they arrive here. Amazing how fast this government can move when they want to.
