Belgian bluebells attract thousands of international tourists

13:46 18/04/2016

Belgium's Hallerbos, a forest located in Halle, just outside of Brussels in Flemish Brabant, is again covered in a carpet of bluebells. The annual wild flower phenomenon last weekend drew thousands of visitors from home and abroad, writes Het Laatste Nieuws.

The flowering bluebells, which are now in full bloom and will gradually reach their peak by next week, are an annual attraction, but last weekend the forest was especially busy. Its paths were filled with not only Belgian nature lovers, but also many tourists from abroad, especially Japan, the US, the UK, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
