Weekend festival at the Atomium
Take the children to this weekend festival at the Atomium which, weather permitting, offers a sure-fire formula of mellow folk and jazz with plenty of games and activities to keep the youngsters entertained. The free outdoor event is set in the leafy surroundings of Théâtre de Verdure in Osseghem Park. Saturday’s musical programme is devoted to folk with performers from Ireland, the UK and Sweden joining familiar Belgian names. The jazz line-up on Sunday includes Tutu Puoane, Free Desmyter Quartet and the David Linx Sextet with Maria João. Children’s activities range from circus skills to folk dancing. All the fun kicks off at 15.00 and continues late into the evening. July 11 & 12, details from www.brosella.be
