Appartment Renting - rules, regulations & laws

Question

Hi there !
Quick question regarding the space for amount of persons that can live in a one bedroom apt.

I am going to separate and the plan is to have the two kids on a week-on, week-off basis.

I can only afford to rent a one bedroom appartment.

The plan being is that the kids will use the bedroom to sleep and I shall use a sofa-bed.

Is there some rule/reg/law, etc on this - ie the rental contract is in my name for one person habitation full time so to speak, but with "occassional" visits/stays of two children on the "rota" as explained.

Many thanks,

xl

ask the landlord, but I don't think there is a regulation.

As a general rule. I am renting one bedroom apt. and the maximum it can be registered 2 persons. The commune would not accept to register more than 2. As I changed the roommate the commune had to register first the old roommate and then register the new one. It has nothing to do with the landlord. But with the configuration of your apartment.
