American tax filing assistance

Question

I am looking for help with delinquent tax filing and would prefer not to contact one of the big players (Deloitte/EY). Does anyone know an independent advisor? Many thanks

Richard

From what I remember there are advisers actually available in the US consulate/embassy. They won't show you all the possible dodges but if you just want a straight filing then they can help.

Many thanks Richard, as it is a delinquent filing I think it might go beyond help I could get at the embassy

There are now many forums and resources to help " US persons" deal with the abuse heaped on them by the USA and with the discrimination they face in the countries where they live. Most paid advisors have a vested interest in getting you in to compliance because they are making a killing from doing so. I know nothing of your situation, but telling the IRS to get the hell out of Belgium and leave you alone might be an option. Googling FATCA will bring up many forums.
