Do ... see ... watch ... join ... munch ... dare ... snooze ... chill ... dream ... meet ... It's the daily agenda from Brussels Unlimited, updated every Wednesday.

Friday 10/9
21.00 A dark, violent crime movie by American composer Leonard Kastle, 1969’s cult favourite The Honeymoon Killers incorporates works by Gustav Mahler in telling the story of the criminal life of a needy, overweight nurse and her conman lover. It’s based on the true story of a couple who met through a lonely hearts column before embarking on a killing spree, preying on lonely women. This unflinching and oddly engrossing film is showing as part of the KlaraFestival at Cinematek, 9 Rue Baron Horta, www.cinematek.be; tickets €3.

Saturday 11/9
12.00 Continuing the week’s creative theme, the third edition of Brussels Art Days takes place this weekend, gathering together 30 contemporary art galleries from across the city. It also incorporates the reopening of the Gala Komplot gallery (295 Avenue Van Volxem, Forest) with a selection of artists displaying their works, a public sculpture workshop and a party till the small hours with a host of DJs. Galleries will be open from 12.00 to 20.00, today and tomorrow. See www.brusselsartdays.com for the full list of participating galleries.
14.00 Also starting today is the Cartoon Festival (above), celebrating comic strips with a series of events across the city over two days. In Saint-Gilles, discover 100 works by Belgian artist André-Paul Duchâteau (€5, Saint- Gilles town hall, Place van Meenen); and enjoy the comic-strip park at Mont des Arts with entertainment for the whole family: live art, music, a kids’ village and an apéro event as night draws in. Later, take in the spectacle
of a sound and light show at Place Royale (23.00, free), and if you’re in the mood for more come Sunday, come back for the balloon parade, which leaves from Place des Palais before winding its way to Place de Brouckère. See www.fetedelabd.be for more details.
23.00 Start the new season in style with a drink and a dance as the Brussels Hot Nights team return with their Back to School edition. Hot Nights offers a variety of DJs and sometimes even live bands and musicians to cater for all tastes. It all goes on at Espace 53, in the Autoworld Museum in Cinquantenaire Park.
